Dayna, a Ukrainian girl, is an apprentice to her father Mikola’s woodworking business. Mikola’s Achilles heel is that Dayna is a girl and not a boy to carry on the family name and wood legacy. Before Dayna was born, Mikola and wife Tabea had a still born son named Danylo, Conflicted, Mikola calls Dayna, Danylo. Dayna’s mother Tabea is tormented because she can’t conceive another baby, therefore Dayna gets caught in the crossfire of deep rooted cultural and religious beliefs. When Dayna turns 18, her father takes her to a flea market to sell their wood products. Unbeknownst to Dayna, her family is targeted by wood mafia henchmen to expand their illegal logging operation on their vast acreage, and one of the men owns a brothel. Mikola delves into an illegal logging crime operation. Eventually, Dayna’s kidnapped to become a sex slave in the brothel. Dayna meets Angelina, an African Ukrainian woman who was also abducted. During her enslavement, Dayna rises up to destroy gender stereotypes and breaks the glass ceiling.

Soon, Carl begins to toggle his decisions; he changes his ways of thinking, and doing; he becomes a student with a purpose, but will Uncle Sonny allow him to get out of the game after he’s promoted him to be a Boss of the “Bloodline”?
