Kimberly Fisher

In the quiet recesses of Kimberly Fisher’s mind, a dormant dream awoke, refusing to be silenced any longer. It whispered to her in the stillness of the night, urging her to write, to create, to bring her imagination to life. And so, she did.

About

My Mile Marker Writing Journey

May I tell you a little bit more about me? I fell in love with writing in elementary school; I absolutely love movies, storytelling, creating characters, dialogue, and reinventing movie scenes even sometimes during, and after, I have left the theater. People watching is a thing for me. I’m a people person. And, when I observe people, my imagination nudges me – like it takes over. The end-game is the culmination of creating powerful, passionate, three dimensional characters/personalities that I bring to life! Literally, I draw them, color them, then tack my artwork on a cork board, so I can visualize my characters as I write about them. And, yea, sometimes I talk to my characters, and they talk back. They tell me what they are going to say, or what they are about to do next, and this helps me to move the story right along. I so appreciate when I have had the pleasure to encounter these types of people that spur my imagination.

Tribute

You know, I know my home keys on a keyboard. I can even type sixty words per minute. Yet, for some reason, as I try to write a tribute to you, I’m staring at my hands and my fingers won’t move. Like, how can I began to type a paragraph or even paraphrase about how I feel about you when my mind drifts back to the days I had you in my life. It’s like I don’t want to write about you, I want you here, with me. I want to talk to you, I want to hold you, I want to see your impeccable smile and touch your soft, supple, hands. I want you here with me, witnessing all the things that you taught me, I want to see your face light up and marvel at everything you aspired, and inspired me to be. I want you to hug this woman that I have become, because of you loving me. I want you here, with me, right by my side, so I can point and show you things, beautiful things, tangible and intangible things, that I hold true all because of the sacrifices that you made for me, because of the roads you paved for me. I want to show you how far I’ve come, and that I was listening and learning from your teachings every time I was blessed to be in your presence. The precious time we had and shared together is priceless, irreplaceable, so full of love, joy, and happiness. You knew how to love me, Grandma. You showed me what love is. As a child, I was always so happy to see you. I loved our silly times, our giggles, laughing at your jokes; I even loved wiping your tears when you were sad. I was honored to be your protector just as much as you were mine. I watched and admired how you would adorn your outfits with your jewelry and loved how you would smile when you finished primping in the mirror. I would sit on the kitchen counter and stare in awe watching you cook. I admired how you loved your family. Grandma, I am more than fortune to have all these memories, however I’d give anything to have you right here with me, giving you back all the things and all the love you gave to me. It’s those memories of you that take me, right back to loving you, still … I’m forever, Your Kim.

Screenwriting Coach Donald Vasicek

Dear Don,

I have been praying for you and all of us. I want you to know that I cherish you, deeply. In my heart I know that it was fate that sent me to you and you to me – divine intervention. You are one remarkable man and your life’s journey molded you into the remarkable man that you are. I’m still figuring things out on my end as I embark on my screenwriting journey. However, I want you to know that I read every, single, word of all of your gripping messages that come from love, respect, and wisdom. My heart jumps when I see your name because of how you’ve touched it. You have pushed me, you have educated me, you have confided in me, you have believed in me, you have inspired me, you have motivated me, you have amused and mused me, but most of all, that I will always hold true, is that you befriended me. You took me under your wing, a stranger, and you didn’t have to do it. Oh, how I thank you for your genius, and so adore you, Don.

You are truly a blessing to me and so many countless others.

I love you, Don …

Kim

Commercial Acting

I love commercial acting and I’m a writer who loves to write dialogue, therefore this is right up my alley to audition, then perform. I love being on set.
